"Winter Storm Warning" ...Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 PM EST this evening... * locations...eastern Essex...Union...and Hudson counties in New Jersey...and New York City and Long Island in New York. * Hazard types...heavy snow. * Accumulations...snow accumulation of 6 to 8 inches with isolated higher amounts. * Timing...snow will be heavy at times until 4 PM...tapering off late this afternoon into this evening. * Visibilities...one quarter to one half mile at times. * Temperatures...in the lower to mid 20s. * Impacts...hazardous travel conditions due to falling temperatures and Road icing...greatly reduced visibilities and significant snow accumulations. Some blowing and drifting snow is possible late this morning through this afternoon. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. East Northport, NY - August 26th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Second Precinct Crime Section are asking the public’s assistance in identifying the person responsible for breaking a window at an East Northport deli.

On Friday, August 3, an unknown person smashed the store front window at Deli La Union, located at 246 Larkfield Road in East Northport. The suspect fled in a white 4-door pick-up truck. Below is a picture of the vehicle that the suspect fled in.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
