"Flash Flood Watch" ...Flash Flood Watch in effect from midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning... The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following areas, in northeast New Jersey, eastern Bergen, eastern Essex, eastern Passaic, eastern Union, Hudson, western Bergen, western Essex, western Passaic, and western Union. In southeast New York, Bronx, Kings (brooklyn), New York (manhattan), northern Nassau, northern Queens, northwestern Suffolk, Orange, Richmond (staten island), Rockland, southern Nassau, southern Queens, southern Westchester, and southwestern Suffolk. * From midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning * an area of low pressure will develop along a frontal boundary to our south and pass just south and east of Long Island. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour are possible and may lead to flash flooding the New York City Metro and surrounding areas. Flash flooding will also be possible for portions of the lower Hudson Valley. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Four Arrested in Rockville Centre for Forged Currency, Drugs

Suspects found with counterfeit money, prescription drugs, and illicit substances.

Rockville Centre, NY - August 23, 2014 -The Crimes Against Property Squad reports the arrests of four persons for Forgery that occurred in Rockville Centre on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 1:52 am.
 
According to detectives, a Rockville Centre Police Officer was conducting an investigation for a suspicious 2002 Honda auto in the municipal parking lot number 8 located on South Park Avenue. During the investigation it was determined that all four occupants that were seated in the auto were in possession of crack cocaine and numerous Xanax pills. Steven J. Loetterle, 31, of 601 Fairview Avenue, Baldwin, Michael Rapaport, 40, of 2278 Lancaster Avenue, Baldwin, Caitlyn M. Holahan, 26, of 156 Evans Avenue, Oceanside and Kristy L. Purzak, 25, of 3775 East Oceanside Road, Oceanside were placed into police custody without incident.
 
A subsequent investigation revealed that 18 counterfeit twenty dollar US Federal Treasury Bills were discovered under the front passenger seat. Defendants Holahan and Purzak each had 1 counterfeit twenty dollar US Federal Treasury Bill in their possession as well. There were no injuries reported.
 
Steven J. Loetterle is charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and 2 counts Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument. Michael Rapaport is charged with 4 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and 2 counts Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument.
 
Kristy L. Purzak is charged with 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument.
 
Caitlyn M. Holahan is charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument.
 
All four defendants will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday, August 24, 2014.
