Areas of fog continues across Long Island and portions of southern Connecticut and New York City, and is expected to linger through at least the rush hour across most areas. While visibilities were generally 1 to 3 miles, however, at times, the fog was locally dense with visibilities as low as 1/4 mile or less at times. Suffolk County SPCA Detectives Charge Mastic Beach Man With Animal Cruelty

The Suffolk County SPCA has charged Paul Hatch of Mastic Beach, 41, with Animal Cruelty on August 20, 2017.

Mastic Beach, NY - August 23, 2017 - Suffolk County SPCA Detectives have charged a Mastic Beach man with Animal Cruelty on August 20, 2017. 
 
Paul Hatch, 41, of Mastic Beach, NY was charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty for severely neglecting his dog. The male cocker spaniel suffered from severe matting, dental and eye issues requiring sedation to provide treatment to the dog. On Sunday, August 13, 2017 the dog was transported to the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter.
 
Hatch will appear in First District Court in Central Islip on  October 24th, 2017.
