Hewlett, NY - August 22, 2017 - The Major Case Bureau reports the details of a bank robbery that occurred in Hewlett on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 3:37 P.M.
 
According to Robbery Squad detectives, a male subject, armed with a handgun, entered BNB Bank located at 1218 Broadway and announced a robbery. The subject demanded the tellers fill a brown backpack with cash. The tellers complied and the subject fled on foot through the rear parking lot into a waiting vehicle. There were four employees and no patrons in the bank at the time of the robbery.
 
No injuries were reported.
 
The subject is described as a male black, early 20’s, 5’5”-5’7” inches tall, wearing a black tee shirt, dark sweatpants, a red baseball type hat with a white letter ‘C’ and white sneakers. No further description is available.
