Georgia Man Arrested for DWI After Caught Driving Wrong-Way on Hempstead Turnpike, Cops Say

NCPD report the arrest of Kip T. Hodge of Georgia for DWI that occurred on Saturday, August 19.

East Meadow, NY - August 21, 2017 - The Nassau County Police report the arrest of a Georgia man for Driving While Intoxicated that occurred on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 3:28 am in East Meadow.
 
According to police, a Highway Patrol Officer observed the defendant Kip T. Hodge operate a 2017 Ford traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Hempstead Turnpike in the vicinity of Meadowbrook Avenue. A traffic stop was performed and it revealed the defendant Kip T. Hodge was driving his vehicle under the Influence of an Alcoholic Beverage. He was then placed into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported.
 
Kip T. Hodge is charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1192.3, Driving While Intoxicated 1192.2, Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree, Reckless Driving, various violations of NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday, August 19, 2017.
