Taste NY Welcome Center Opening at LIE Exit 51-52 Seeks Agricultural Community Comments

Huntington, NY - August 16, 2016 - A 'Long Island Welcome Center' is under construction, located on the eastbound LIE between exits 51 and 52. This facility is slated to contain a Taste NY store in addition to bathrooms, a multi-purpose community room, a food vendor, and offices for the NYS and Suffolk County Police.  Taste NY is a program initiated by the governor to promote NY agriculture and NY produced products. The Taste NY store will sell NY Ag products and will have educational displays and information.  

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County is seeking comments from the agricultural community to help guide the possible direction of the Taste NY facility.
