New Cassel Woman Arrested for Leaving Three Young Children Home Alone

New Cassel, NY - August 14th, 2014 - The Third Precinct reports the arrest of a New Cassel woman for endangering the welfare of her three children which occurred in New Cassel on Wednesday, 08/13/14 at 12:35 P.M.

Police officers responded to a radio assignment at a Roman Ave. home, for young children left home alone.  Upon gaining entry, the officers observed the children, ages 2, 5, and 6, in the home unsupervised.  Police officers located the mother of the children, Ebony Robinson, 23, while walking home from work, on W. John St./Newbridge Rd. in Hicksville, where she was placed under arrest.  The children were transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation and were later released to Child Protective Services.

No injuries were reported.

Robinson is being charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and will be arraigned on Thursday, 08/14/14 in First District Court, Hempstead.
