"Special Statement" Fog continues across portions of southern Connecticut and Suffolk County of New York, and is expected to remain until early Tuesday morning. Visibilities were generally 1 to 2 miles, however, at times, and in some locations, the fog was dense with visibilities as low as 1/4 mile. Update - August 12, 2014 - New York State Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert for Saurav Banik/August 11 has been cancelled.

Queens, NY - August 11, 2014 - A Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert has been issued for Saurav Banik, a 20 year-old, Asian male with autism who is non-verbal and was last seen at 121-12 Liberty Avenue on 8/10/14 at 6:45pm. He was wearing a blue shirt and brown jeans. Saurav may be in need of medical attention.
