SCPD Crime Alert: Suspect Wanted for Stealing Cash from Riverhead Walmart

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Riverhead Police Department are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who stole an envelope that contained cash from a store in Riverhead.

Riverhead, NY - August 5th, 2014 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Riverhead Police Department are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who stole an envelope that contained cash from a store in Riverhead.

A person who was shopping at Walmart, located at 1890 Old Country Road, left an envelope that contained cash on a desk in the store on July 17. A woman stole the envelope and fled the store at approximately 5:50 p.m. The suspect is described as black, approximately 50-years-old with short hair. She was wearing a light pink shirt, blue pants and pink shoes.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
