Medford Man Assaulted During Burglary; Police Seeking Three Armed Suspects Currently At Large

Medford, NY - August 1, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a burglary during which a resident was injured in Medford on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at approximately 12:30 a.m.
 
Three men believed to be armed with handguns entered a residence on Locust Avenue South at approximately 12:30 a.m. A 29-year-old male occupant was assaulted. A female occupant was restrained but uninjured. The suspects stole cash, jewelry and other items from the residence before fleeing the scene.
 
The male victim was transported via ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates that the address was targeted.
