"Winter Storm Warning" ...Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 7 PM this evening to 6 PM EST Monday... * locations...the New York City and New Jersey metropolitan areas...northern Nassau and northwest Suffolk counties...and southeastern coastal Connecticut. * Hazard types...snow...sleet and freezing rain. * Accumulations...snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches...along with around one quarter of an inch of ice. * Timing...tonight through Monday. * Winds...northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * Temperatures...in the upper 20s. * Visibilities...one quarter mile or less at times. * Snowfall rates...occasionally 1 to 2 inches per hour late Sunday night into early Monday morning. * Impacts...hazardous travel due to reduced visibilities and significant snow...sleet and ice accumulations. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Coram, NY - July 30th, 2014 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who took a rental car from a convenience store in Coram this month.

On Monday, July 21, 2014 a man took a 2013 gray Toyota Corolla that was parked at the 7-Eleven located at 33 Middle Country Road in Coram. The suspect is described as a white male or Hispanic, in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin light brown beard.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
