Uniondale Man Arrested for Stealing Over $2k from Seaford Grocery Store

Seaford, NY - July 28th, 2014 - The Seventh Squad reports the details of an arrest for Grand Larceny that occurred in Seaford on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 11:35 A.M.

According to detectives, the defendant Andre Christmas, 57, of Pembroke Street, Uniondale was observed on Saturday, July 26, 2014, removing merchandise valued over twenty-four hundred dollars from Pathmark, 4055 Merrick Road and fled scene. On Sunday, July 27, 2014, while at Pathmark investigating the previous day’s incident, detectives were notified the defendant returned and attempted to remove merchandise valued over one thousand dollars.  The defendant fled the store and entered a taxi which was stopped by detectives.  The defendant, Andre Christmas was placed under arrest without incident.

Upon further investigation the defendant was also charged with two incidents that occurred on July 9, 2014 at Stop and Shop, 350 West Old Country Road, Hicksville and on July 20, 2014 at Pathmark, 3901 Hempstead Turnpike, Bethpage.

The defendant, Andre Christmas is charged with two counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree and two counts of Petit Larceny and will be arraigned on Monday, July 28, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
