Motorcyclist Killed in Motor Vehicle Crash in Medford

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist in Medford last night.

Medford, NY - July 28th, 2013 - Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist in Medford last night.

Daniel Cardona was operating a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Horseblock Road in Medford when he collided with a 2007 Chrysler, operated by Arthur White, who was travelling westbound on Horseblock Road and attempting to turn left in front of the motorcycle.
 
Cardona, 51, of Bayview Avenue, Bellport was transported by Medford Fire Department Rescue Squad to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue  where he was pronounced dead. White, 73, of Pitchpine Place, Medford, was not injured.
 
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652. All calls will be kept confidential.
