Long Island, NY - July 23, 2015 - School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education for all ages, is embarking on their annual AllStars Summer Tour. School of Rock in Roslyn is thrilled to announce that after a demanding International audition process, the chosen top one percent of SOR students are set to rock stages across the country this summer. With 22 tour dates at some of rock’s most iconic stages, including Gathering of the Vibes and the famed Lollapalooza in Chicago, these young aspiring musicians get to experience firsthand what a professional career in rock and roll is like.

School of Rock launched The AllStars Program in 2006 in keeping with the mission of inspiring kids to rock on stage and in life. The opportunity to be on stage performing for thousands of rock and roll fans nation-wide is a dream come true for these deserving students. Past AllStars have had the opportunity to share stages with notable acts as Portugal. The Man, Perry Farrell from Jane’s Addiction, Slash from Guns n’ Roses, and countless others. The AllStars tour gives these exceptional students the chance to both step into the limelight and to show to the world what their hard work, rock and roll spirit and collaboration has accomplished.

In addition to the showcasing of their students’ talent, School of Rock will be partnering up with Who Cares, Teen Cancer America. Given the deeply rooted rock and roll history of Who Cares Teen Cancer America, this collaboration with the School of Rock AllStars is a match made in rock n’ roll Heaven.

"I'd like to thank the School of Rock and all of you young people that are helping to promote the work of The Who's charity, Teen Cancer America. Teenagers helping teenagers with cancer by performing live shows is incredible and means a lot to me personally,” said Teen Cancer America Co-Founder, Roger Daltrey. “The music business as we know it would not exist without the support of teens and young adults. Their social needs have been ignored in the hospital system for too long and it is no longer acceptable. Teen Cancer America is a movement for change."

“School of Rock provides such fantastic and unique opportunities to our students by getting them up on big stages and helping them to experience what it’s like to be a rock star first hand,” said School of Rock Roslyn General Manager & Music Director, Pete Scarlata. “This tour not only highlights our kids’ talents, but also illustrates how strong the School of Rock community is nationwide.”
