Officers Rescue Brentwood Man by Applying Tourniquet

Holbrook, NY - July 25th, 2014 - Suffolk County Police today saved a man who accidently cut himself in Holbrook this morning.

A 33-year-old Brentwood man was working outside of a residence on Flintridge Drive in Holbrook when he accidentally cut his forearm with a utility knife at approximately 11 a.m. Fifth Precinct Officers Eric DiPrima and David Kolesar responded and applied a tourniquet to control the heavy bleeding.

The victim was transported by members of the Holbrook Fire Department to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
