Silver Alert Cancelled: Greenlawn Man with Dementia, Diabetes Found Unharmed

Greenlawn, NY - July 23rd, 2014 - The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a Greenlawn man who is diabetic and suffers from dementia.
 
Alfred Tobias, 59, of 909 Paumanack Village Drive, Greenlawn, was last seen on the corner of Fairgrounds Avenue and East 6th Street, Huntington Station, on July 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. He is described as a black man with black afro-type hair, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 170 pounds. Tobias was wearing jeans, a gray sweatshirt, a black short-sleeve shirt and black boots. He is missing his top front teeth.
 
Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding Tobias’ whereabouts to call 911 or the Second Squad at 631-854-8243.
 
As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have gone missing.
