Manhattan Man Arrested in Bethpage for Identity Theft, Grand Larceny

Bethpage, NY - July 22nd, 2014 - Crimes Against Property Squad detectives report the arrest of a Manhattan man for grand larceny and identity theft which occurred throughout Nassau County beginning Friday, 07/11/14.
 
According to detectives, Michael Beene, 54, of 35 E. 106th St., entered various TD banks, presented the teller with a fraudulent N.J. Driver’s License with his picture on it bearing the name of a male victim, and withdrew money from the victim’s account.  TD bank sustained a financial loss in excess of $30,000.  Beene was also found to be in possession of a forged Capital One credit card also in the victim’s name.
 
Second Precinct Police officers arrested Beene on Monday, 07/21/14 in Bethpage.  He is being charged with four counts of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, two counts of Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Identity Theft 1st Degree and will be arraigned on Tuesday, 07/22/14 in First District Court, Hempstead.
