Four Arrested for Uniondale Mugging

Uniondale, NY - July 22nd, 2014 - The First Squad reports the arrests of four individuals for Robbery that occurred in Uniondale on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 1:55 am.
 
According to detectives, a 19 year old female victim was walking on Midwood Avenue near Maple Avenue when the defendants Deveonte Gibson, 20, of Linden Street, West Hempstead, Deangelo Gibson, 21, of Linden Street, and Fahiym Rodriguez, 21, of Langdon Boulevard, Lakeview exited a 1998 tan Nissan driven by defendant Jennifer Anderson, 21, of Byrd Street and approached the victim from behind. Deveonte Gibson demanded the victim’s personal property and then punched her in the face causing pain to her left cheek and left elbow. Deangelo Gibson then grabbed her black Jordan bag that contained a wallet, Driver’s License, Citibank card, and a undetermined amount of US currency. As the victim ran away defendant Deveonte Gibson tripped the victim while punching and kicking her while removing a cell phone from her pocket. 
 
All three defendants then entered back into the car and fled north on Maple Avenue. The victim called police after she walked to a friend’s house. Hempstead Police Officers observed the defendants car driving on Maple Street and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Stop. After an investigation all four defendants were placed into police custody without further incident. The victim refused medical attention. There were no other injuries reported.
 
All defendants were charged with two counts each of Robbery 2nd Degree. Additionally Fahiym Rodriguez is charged with an open warrant for a January 10, 2013, Attempted Robbery.
