This will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Islip, Brentwood, Levittown, Freeport, Commack, Riverhead, Long Beach, Centereach, Shirley, Deer Park, Lindenhurst, Plainview, Medford, Southold and Massapequa. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Legislator Anker Joins the Rocky Point Civic to Kick off First Annual Garden Tour

Legislator Anker, met with Civic Secretary Pat Adamko, Civic President Kathy Weber, Councilwoman Bonner, Civic Vice President Maria Farley, and Civic Treasurer Maureen O’Keefe.

Rocky Point, NY - July 22, 2014 - On Saturday, July 19th the Rocky Point Civic Association to kick off the civic’s First Annual Garden Tour. Members  of the community stopped by Sweets of the Spoon to receive a map for the self-guided tour which showcased nine beautifully landscaped homes in Rocky Point
 
“I would like to thank the volunteers for dedicating their time and for inviting residents to enjoy their gardens,” said Legislator Anker. “I wish the Rocky Point Civic Association much continued success with the event and I look forward to participating next year.”
