Nesconset, NY - July 22nd, 2013 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the drowning death of a woman in Nesconset this afternoon.
Fourth Precinct police officers responded after a woman called 911 to report finding her mother, Barbara Bruce, floating in an in-ground pool in the backyard of the home located at 4 Saggese Circle at 2:20 p.m.
Bruce, 70, of 12 Hollyberry Dr., Hopewell Junction, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The investigation is continuing.
