The National Weather Service in New York has issued a Wind Advisory...which is in effect from 2 PM EDT this afternoon to 5 PM EST Sunday. * Locations...Suffolk County NY and coastal New Haven...Middlesex and New London counties in Connecticut. * Hazards...strong winds. * Winds...north 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * Timing...this afternoon through the day Sunday. * Impacts...some tree limbs and branches might fall onto power lines causing scattered power outages. Strong winds will make driving difficult on elevated roads and bridges. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph... or gusts of 46 to 57 mph...are expected or occurring. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Man Wanted for Robbing Farmingdale Chase Bank

The Second Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in Farmingdale on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11:06 am.

Farmingdale, NY - July 18th, 2014 - The Second Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in Farmingdale on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11:06 am.

According to detectives, an unknown male subject entered into the Chase Bank located at 334 Main Street and presented a demand note and made verbal demands to a 49 year old female teller. After the teller complied with the demands the subject fled on foot in an unknown direction. The male subject is described as black, 5’8” – 5”10” tall, black button shirt, black tie, white pants, light colored hat, sunglasses. No weapon was displayed. There were no injuries reported.  There were 6 employees and two customers in the bank at the time.

Detectives request that anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
