Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Motorist in Hempstead, According to Authorities

Hempstead, NY - July 17, 2017 - Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an auto accident, involving a bicyclist, that occurred in Hempstead on Sunday, 07/16/17 at 10:00 P.M.
 
According to detectives, a 2013 Nissan Sentra, travelling east on Fulton St./Hendrickson Ave., was in collision with a male bicyclist.
 
The female operator of the Nissan was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The bicyclist, who sustained head, neck and spine trauma, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:35 P.M. by a staff physician. The deceased has not yet been identified.
 
The Nissan Sentra was impounded for a brake and safety inspection. The investigation is ongoing.
