Mangano And Kopel Announces Restoration Of West Broadway

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Nassau County Legislator Howard Kopel today announced that West Broadway, in the Cedarhurst/Woodmere area, will be restored as a part of “Operation Restore Our Roadways.”

Cedarhurst, NY - July 15, 2015 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Nassau County Legislator Howard Kopel today announced that West Broadway, in the Cedarhurst/Woodmere area, will be restored as a part of “Operation Restore Our Roadways.”

The limits of the West Broadway restoration will be from Broadway to Rockaway Turnpike and work will include: milling and resurfacing, well as replacement of curb and sidewalk. The Request for Proposals for design will be going out to bid in the fall of 2015, with the restoration to take place in 2016 under the Capital Plan.

“My administration has made it a priority to restore our roads for the safety of our residents and communities,” said County Executive Mangano. “The restoration of West Broadway is just one example of the road improvements we have been making throughout Nassau County.”

“This is a very large construction project that has been in the planning and design stages for many months,” said Legislator Kopel. “I am looking forward to getting the shovel in the ground.”
