SCPD: Greenport Man Arrested for Strangling Woman To Death
Greenport, NY - July 12, 2017 - Suffolk County Police have arrested a Greenport man for strangling a woman to death in Greenport.
Southold Town Police found Michelle Schiavoni, 27, dead in her home, located on 2nd St., on July 10 at approximately 10 p.m.
On Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 2:08 p.m., Homicide Squad detectives located Jaime DeLeon-Tito, 23, today on Osborne Avenue in Riverhead and charged him with Murder 2nd Degree. DeLeon-Tito will be held overnight at Southold Town Police Headquarters and arraigned tomorrow at Southold Town Court.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
