New Hyde Park Man Arrested for Local Robbery Spree

Floral Park, NY - July 12th, 2014 - The Robbery Squad reports the arrest of a New Hyde Park man on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. in Floral Park for Robbery.
 
According to detectives, the defendant Michael P. Daddario, 26 of 525 Beech Street entered the Mr. Sudz Laundromat, located at 729 Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park and removed a jar containing an unknown amount of U.S. currency before fleeing on foot. Third Precinct Officers, Robbery Squad detectives, Bureau of Special Operations Officers along with Floral Park Police responded to the area and began an extensive search for the defendant. Robbery Squad detectives located him in the on the roof of a Cherry Lane business. The investigation determined that Daddario committed four additional Robberies as well as a Grand Larceny on the following dates:
 
June 29, 2014 at 12:34 p.m. he entered the TD Bank at 372 Jericho Turnpike, Floral Park and demanded money from the teller before fleeing with an unknown amount of cash.
 
July 7, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. he entered the Dairy Barn located at 938 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park and demanded the money from the clerk before fleeing with unknown amount of cash.
 
July 9, 2014 at 11:55 a.m. he entered the Dairy Barn at 114 Franklin Avenue, Franklin Square where he demanded the money from the clerk and fled with an unknown amount of cash.
 
July 9, 2014 at 7:20 p.m. Daddario entered Baskin and Robbins located at 1596 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park and grabbed a $100.00 bill from the victim’s hand and fled the store.
 
July 10, 2014 at 12:20 p.m. he returned to the Dairy Barn at 938 Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park and removed money from the register after a brief struggle with the clerk.
 
Daddario is charged with (4) four counts of Robbery 3rd degree, Grand Larceny and Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
