"Flash Flood Watch" ...Flash Flood Watch in effect from midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning... The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following areas, in northeast New Jersey, eastern Bergen, eastern Essex, eastern Passaic, eastern Union, Hudson, western Bergen, western Essex, western Passaic, and western Union. In southeast New York, Bronx, Kings (brooklyn), New York (manhattan), northern Nassau, northern Queens, northwestern Suffolk, Orange, Richmond (staten island), Rockland, southern Nassau, southern Queens, southern Westchester, and southwestern Suffolk. * From midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning * an area of low pressure will develop along a frontal boundary to our south and pass just south and east of Long Island. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour are possible and may lead to flash flooding the New York City Metro and surrounding areas. Flash flooding will also be possible for portions of the lower Hudson Valley. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Police: Syosset Woman Previously Reported Missing Discovered Deceased

Deborah O’Connor, 58, was found in a sump located in the rear of 265 Jericho Turnpike, cops say.

Deborah O’Connor, 58, a Syosset woman previously reported missing has been discovered deceased by authorities.

Syosset, NY - July 11, 2017 - The Homicide Squad is investigating a Found Body that occurred on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 3:00 pm in Syosset.
According to detectives, a deceased female body was found in a sump located in the rear of 265 Jericho Turnpike. After an investigation it was determined that the deceased was that of Deborah O’Connor, 58, who was reported missing from Syosset on Thursday, July 6, 2017.  
The body was removed to the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination and evaluation. 
There appears to be no criminality at this time.
