Woman Drowns in Hamptons Bays Residential Pool

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a Brooklyn woman who drowned in a pool in Hampton Bays yesterday.

Hampton Bays, NY - July 11th, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a Brooklyn woman who drowned in a pool in Hampton Bays yesterday.

Officers from the Town of Southampton Police Department responded to 23 Wakeman Road on July 10 at 12:02 p.m. after a 911 caller reported that a woman was found unresponsive in a pool at the residence.

Olya Lipina, 29, of 1521 Ocean Ave., Apartment 11F, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
