"Special Statement" ...Locally dense fog early this morning across Long Island and portions of New York City and southern Connecticut... Areas of fog continues across Long Island and portions of southern Connecticut and New York City, and is expected to linger through at least the rush hour across most areas. While visibilities were generally 1 to 3 miles, however, at times, the fog was locally dense with visibilities as low as 1/4 mile or less at times. CANCELLED - Suffolk Missing Persons Squad Issues Alert for Possibly Suicidal Lindenhurst Man

John Harley Jr., 25, was last seen near his home at 3 a.m. on Monday, July 10.

SCPD has issued a Silver Alert for John Harley Jr., 25, a missing Lindenhurst man who may be suicidal.

UPDATE - July 11, 2017 - Police report that John Harley Jr. has been located, unharmed.

Lindenhurst, NY - July 10, 2017 - The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Lindenhurst man who may be suicidal.
 
John Harley Jr., 25, of 10 Bedell St., was last seen near his home at 3 a.m. He may be driving a 2014 gray Honda Civic with New York license plate GCW 8340.   
 
Harley Jr. is black, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes.  
 
Anyone with information about Harley Jr.’s location is asked to contact the First Precinct Detectives at 631-854-8152 or 911.
 
As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
