"Flash Flood Watch" ...Flash Flood Watch in effect from midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning... The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following areas, in northeast New Jersey, eastern Bergen, eastern Essex, eastern Passaic, eastern Union, Hudson, western Bergen, western Essex, western Passaic, and western Union. In southeast New York, Bronx, Kings (brooklyn), New York (manhattan), northern Nassau, northern Queens, northwestern Suffolk, Orange, Richmond (staten island), Rockland, southern Nassau, southern Queens, southern Westchester, and southwestern Suffolk. * From midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning * an area of low pressure will develop along a frontal boundary to our south and pass just south and east of Long Island. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour are possible and may lead to flash flooding the New York City Metro and surrounding areas. Flash flooding will also be possible for portions of the lower Hudson Valley. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. CANCELLED - Suffolk Missing Persons Squad Issues Alert for Possibly Suicidal Lindenhurst Man

John Harley Jr., 25, was last seen near his home at 3 a.m. on Monday, July 10.

SCPD has issued a Silver Alert for John Harley Jr., 25, a missing Lindenhurst man who may be suicidal.

Lindenhurst, NY - July 10, 2017 - The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Lindenhurst man who may be suicidal.
 
John Harley Jr., 25, of 10 Bedell St., was last seen near his home at 3 a.m. He may be driving a 2014 gray Honda Civic with New York license plate GCW 8340.   
 
Harley Jr. is black, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes.  
 
Anyone with information about Harley Jr.’s location is asked to contact the First Precinct Detectives at 631-854-8152 or 911.
 
As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
