Freeport Woman Arrested After Cutting Boyfriend's Arm with Broken Bottle, Cops Say

Freeport, NY - July 10, 2017 - The First Squad reports the arrest of a Freeport woman for Assault that occurred in Freeport on Sunday, July 09, 2017 at 5:05 am.
 
According to detectives, Freeport Police officers responded to a call of a man bleeding outside in front of 292 North Main Street. Upon arrival they observed a 43 year old male victim severely bleeding from a laceration to his left arm. 
 
An investigation revealed that the victim did have a verbal dispute with his girlfriend defendant Kieshya Clemons, 39, that escalated in which she cut him with a broken beer bottle outside in the vicinity of North Main Street and Lenard Avenue. The defendant left the scene on foot.
 
Freeport Police were then later able to locate her walking on North Main Street. Defendant Clemons was then placed into police custody without incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for his injury.
 
Kieshya Clemons is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. She will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Monday, July 10, 2017.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
