Floral Park, NY - July 9, 2014 - Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a Jamaica, Queens man for a Burglary that occurred on July 8, 2014 at 1:46 pm in Floral Park.
According to detectives, Anthony Wearen, 54, of 115 04 142nd Street was observed by a witness breaking a rear window and entering a Calla Avenue residence. After 911 was contacted, Floral Park Police Department officers responded and secured a perimeter around the home. Wearen, who opened the front door, surrendered himself to police and was placed into custody. Recovered at the scene was jewelry from the home that was placed into a bedroom pillowcase.
Wearen is charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and will arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 07/09/2014.
