Woman Wanted by Police for Using Counterfeit $100 Bills at Lake Grove Department Store

Lake Grove, NY - July 7, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who used counterfeit currency at a Lake Grove store in May.
 
On May 14 at approximately 1:30 p.m., a woman used two counterfeit $100 bills to purchase clothing at JCPenney, located in the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove. The suspect is described as a light skinned Hispanic female with a medium to heavy build (see surveillance photo above).
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
