NCPD: Man Assaulted, Robbed by Eight in Inwood

Inwood, NY - July 6, 2014 - The Fourth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11:55 p.m. in Inwood.
 
According to detectives, the male victim, 36 years of age was walking home when he was struck from behind at the corner of Brunswick Avenue and Doughty Boulevard by multiple assailants. The subjects proceeded to strike the victim with an unknown object in the head and back as he fell to the ground. They removed his cellphone and wallet containing an unknown amount of U.S. Currency and fled on foot westbound on Brunswick Avenue. The subjects are described as four male blacks and four female blacks between the ages of 15 - 18 years old, slim build, approximately 5’9” tall. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries to his head and ankle.
