Two Men Arrested for North Amityville Shooting

North Amityville, NY - July 3rd, 2014 - Suffolk County Police have arrested two men for a shooting that occurred in North Amityville earlier this week.

Following an investigation by First Squad detectives, Dashawn Kee and Kenyatta Weston were arrested on July 2 for shooting Troy Robinson at Bolden Mack Park, located on Great Neck Road in North Amityville.

Robinson was shot while at the park and was taken by an acquaintance to the North Amityville Fire Department on June 30 at approximately 3:15 p.m. He was transported by fire department personnel to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was treated and later released.

Kee, 22, of 71 Maple Lane, North Amityville, and Weston, 19, of 80 Scudder Ave., Copiague, were charged with Assault 2nd Degree. Both were scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip today.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
