"Areal Flood Advisory" The National Weather Service in Upton NY has issued a * flood advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas for... western Suffolk County in southeastern New York... * until 200 PM EDT * at 1158 am EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Radar estimates that one half to one inch of rain has already fallen, and that additional rainfall of up to one half inch is likely. * Some locations that could experience flooding include... SCPD: Man Stabbed to Death in Huntington Station

Stabbing occurred behind New York Avenue in Huntington Station on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 9:38 p.m.

Huntington Station, NY - June 29, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the stabbing death of a man last night in Huntington Station.
 
Second Precinct police officers responded to the rear of 14-19 New York Avenue in Huntington Station last night at 9:38 p.m. after a 911 caller reported that a 38-year-old man had been stabbed at that location. When officers arrived, they found Luis Ramos-Rodriguez lying on the ground with a stab wound.
 
Ramos-Rodriguez, of Huntington Station, was taken by Huntington Community First Aid Squad to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
 
The investigation is continuing and an autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
