NCPD Crime Alert: Man Wanted for Robbing West Hempstead Bank

West Hempstead, NY - June 25th, 2014 - The Robbery Squad reports the details of a bank Robbery which occurred on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 10:45 A.M. in West Hempstead.

According to detectives, a male black suspect, in his 30’s, 5’10” wearing a maroon hoodie and a baseball cap with NY across the front entered the Chase Bank located at 565 Hempstead Turnpike and presented a demand note to the teller.  The teller complied handing over an undetermined amount of cash.  The suspect fled on foot eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike.  There were seven employees and one customer in the bank at the time of the incident.  No injuries were reported.
