The Blizzard Warning has been cancelled. * Locations...Suffolk County in southeast New York...and New Haven...Middlesex and New London counties in southeast Connecticut. * Hazard types...periods of snow and blowing snow. * Accumulations...additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches with total accumulations of 20 to 30 inches...with locally higher amounts. * Winds...north 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * Visibilities...one mile or less at times. * Temperatures...in the lower 20s. * Timing...this afternoon into this evening. * Impacts...dangerous travel conditions continue due to snow... blowing snow and gusty winds. Some roads may be impassable. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities will lead to whiteout conditions...making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If you must travel... have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded...stay with your vehicle.
