Suspect in Massapequa Home Burglary Sought by Nassau County Police

Massapequa, NY - June 23, 2017 - Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a Burglary that occurred on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 1:20 pm in Massapequa.
 
According to detectives, while inside her Hicksville Road home, the 58 year old female heard noises and footsteps upstairs while she was in the basement of the house. Upon returning to the main floor of the home, she observed a male black subject walk past the basement door. The victim screamed and the subject ran out of the house through a rear sliding glass door followed thereafter by the victim. Upon exiting the door the victim was suddenly pushed to the ground by the subject who then fled through a side gate.
 
The uninjured victim further described the subject as being in his 20’s, approximately 6’ tall with a muscular build and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. No injuries and no loss of property were reported as a result of the incident. The subject is believed to have entered the residence by ripping the screen of an open window in the rear of the home.
