"Flash Flood Watch" ...Flash Flood Watch in effect from midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning... The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following areas, in northeast New Jersey, eastern Bergen, eastern Essex, eastern Passaic, eastern Union, Hudson, western Bergen, western Essex, western Passaic, and western Union. In southeast New York, Bronx, Kings (brooklyn), New York (manhattan), northern Nassau, northern Queens, northwestern Suffolk, Orange, Richmond (staten island), Rockland, southern Nassau, southern Queens, southern Westchester, and southwestern Suffolk. * From midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning * an area of low pressure will develop along a frontal boundary to our south and pass just south and east of Long Island. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour are possible and may lead to flash flooding the New York City Metro and surrounding areas. Flash flooding will also be possible for portions of the lower Hudson Valley. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. ‘Juice’ Director, Ernest Dickerson, Remembers Tupac Shakur on Tom Needham’s The Sounds of Film

Ernest Dickerson, the director, writer and producer of Juice, will be Tom Needham’s exclusive guest this Thursday at 6 P.M. on WUSB’s The Sounds of Film.

Stony Brook, NY - June 21, 2017 - Juice director, Ernest Dickerson and Inconceivable director, Jonathan Baker will both join Tom Needham this Thursday on The Sounds of Film on WUSB.
Ernest Dickerson is a director, cinematographer, writer, and producer. He first became well-known as Spike Lee’s cinematographer on many of Lee’s classic films including She’s Gotta Have It, Do the Right Thing, and Malcolm X.  In 1992, Ernest left Spike to direct his first feature film, Juice, starring Tupac Shakur and Omar Epps. The film tells the story of four Harlem youths who struggle with important life decisions.  The Sounds of Film will be featuring music from the Juice Original Soundtrack which contains cuts from several Long Island Music Hall of Fame inductees including Eric B. And Rakim, Salt-N-Pepa, Big Daddy Kane and Public Enemy’s Bomb Squad.  After Juice’s success, Ernest Dickerson went on to direct many episodes of HBO’s acclaimed series The Wire and Treme, as well as episodes of Once Upon a Time, The Walking Dead and Dexter.

Jonathan Baker is well-known for his appearances on Amazing Race, Girls Next Door and Kendra.  He is also the director, producer and star of Lionsgate’s Inconceivable, featuring Nicholas Cage, Faye Dunaway, Gina Gershon and Nicky Whelan. The film is a psychological thriller about a family’s nanny who disrupts their lives when she becomes their surrogate mother.  Jonathan will also be discussing his upcoming documentary about himself, Being Iconic, which features a number of individuals who have influenced his career including  Warren Beatty, Taylor Hackford, Michael Bay and Adrian Lyne. Locally, Jonathan is recognized as the owner of the Maidstone Hotel in the Hamptons.
