Legislator Anker Attends Rocky Point Second Grade Moving Up Ceremony

Legislator Anker and local rotary club members give dictionaries to second grade students at the Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School.

Rocky Point, NY, June 2013 – Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended the Second Grade Moving Up Ceremony at the Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School on Friday, June 14. The ceremony recognized the second grade students who will be moving on to the Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School in September. 

“It’s important that you continue to keep up the good work,” Legislator Anker said to the second graders. “Remember all of the lessons that your teachers taught you here at the Carasiti School. There are also wonderful teachers at the Joseph A. Edgar School, and I know that are they very excited to meet you.”

The Frank J. Carasiti School serves the youngest grades in the Rocky Point school district, educating students from kindergarten through second grade. According to the Rocky Point District Office, the school will be sending 248 second graders to the third grade at the Joseph A. Edgar School in the fall.
