Additional minor coastal flooding is possible around the times of high tide Friday night. * Impacts...minor flooding of the most vulnerable shore roads and/or properties due to height of storm tide or wave splashover. Majority of roads remain passable with only isolated closures. There is no significant threat to life and any impact on property is minimal. This type of event is covered by a coastal Flood Advisory. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore. ...L.I. NCPD Crime Alert: Man Wanted for Uniondale Mugging

The First Squad reports the details of a Robbery which occurred on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10:50 P.M. in Uniondale.

Uniondale, NY - June 17th, 2014 - The First Squad reports the details of a Robbery which occurred on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10:50 P.M. in Uniondale.

According to detectives, a male victim, 16, walking on Hempstead Boulevard and Green Grove Avenue, was approached by a brown SUV driven by a male black.  A second suspect, described as a thin male black wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans exited the car armed with a handgun and demanded the victims money and phone. The victim refused and was struck in the head by the suspect who then took the phone before getting back in the car.  The suspects fled westbound on Hempstead Boulevard.  No injuries were reported.
