Police Conducting Search for Suspect in Armed Robbery of Valley Stream Convenience Store

Valley Stream, NY - June 16, 2017 - Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 10:35 pm in Valley Stream.
 
According to detectives, a male white subject entered the convenience store of the Exxon gas station, 206 N. Central Avenue, approached the clerk and asked for change of a five dollar bill. After opening the register and looking back up, she observed that the subject was now pointing a black handgun at her. The subject then reached into the register, removed an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store.
 
The uninjured clerk described the subject as being of an average height and build, in his mid to late 30’s, with brown “scruffy” facial hair. He was wearing a black knit hat, a black long sleeve T-shirt, blue jeans and light colored sneakers.
