Woman Arrested in Freeport for Heroin Possession
According to the Narcotics/Vice Bureau, a Rockville Centre woman was arrested on Wednesday night for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
 
Police stated that 33-year-old Kerri Creegan (pictured) was pulled over for a broken tail light while driving southbound on the Babylon Turnpike in Freeport at around 3 p.m. She was found to be in possession of a bag containing heroin.
 
Creegan was arrested without incident, and she is scheduled for arraignment on June 23 at the First District Court in Hempstead.

Motorcyclist Killed in Huntington Crash
Suffolk County Police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Thursday night around 9:55 p.m.
 
According to officials, 42-year-old Craig Byer of Huntington was driving a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Elm Street in Huntington. Byer lost control of the motorcycle at the intersection of Elm Street and Nassau Road. He skidded through the intersection, hit a curb and was thrown from the motorcycle.
 
Byer was transported to Huntington Hospital where he died. Police impounded the motorcycle and will be performing a safety check.
