Freeport Mayor Kennedy Denounces Terror Attack, Orders All Flags to Fly at Half-Mast

Following news of the mass shooting attack at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, FL, Village of Freeport Mayor Robert T. Kennedy released a statement.

As a sign of respect for the victims of the Orlando, Florida shooting, all flags within the Village of Freeport shall be flown at half-staff.

Freeport, NY - June 13, 2016 - Following news of the mass shooting attack at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, FL, Village of Freeport Mayor Robert T. Kennedy released the following statement:
 
“This is a sad day for millions of Americans as we continue to mourn the deadliest mass shooting in the United States, and the nation's worst terror attack since 9/11,” said Village of Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy.
 
“The Village of Freeport strongly denounces this unspeakable and cowardly act and joins thousands of other towns, villages and cities across our great land that are standing up against hate and unified against senseless acts of gun violence,” said Kennedy.  “Hatred and violence, especially when directed against any specific group of people, will not be tolerated in Freeport.”
 
“Our hearts go out to the victims, their loved ones, and the people of Orlando, and I pray that all those wounded have a speedy and full recovery,” added Kennedy.
