The National Weather Service in New York has issued a Winter Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow...which is in effect until 7 PM EST this evening. The Blizzard Warning has been cancelled. * Locations...Suffolk County in southeast New York...and New Haven...Middlesex and New London counties in southeast Connecticut. * Hazard types...periods of snow and blowing snow. * Accumulations...additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches with total accumulations of 20 to 30 inches...with locally higher amounts. * Winds...north 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * Visibilities...one mile or less at times. * Temperatures...in the lower 20s. * Timing...this afternoon into this evening. * Impacts...dangerous travel conditions continue due to snow... blowing snow and gusty winds. Some roads may be impassable. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities will lead to whiteout conditions...making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If you must travel... have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded...stay with your vehicle. A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. SCPD: Suspects Wanted for Grand Larceny

Police are searching for suspects who stole credit cards and Bridgehampton and used them at several locations.

Bridgehampton, NY- June 13, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the people who used credit cards stolen in Bridgehampton earlier this month. 
 
On Saturday, June 7, 2014, credit cards were stolen from a vehicle in Bridgehampton. Two men driving a grey 4-door Hyundai used the stolen credit cards at numerous locations throughout Suffolk County. Some of the locations where they used the credit card include:
  • McNamara Liquors in Bridgehampton
  • TJ Maxx in Bridgehampton
  • Target in Bay Shore
  • Home Depot in Patchogue
  • PC Richard & Son Patchogue
  • Best Buy in Bay Shore
  • CVS in Bay Shore
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
