West Islip, NY - June 10, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today in West Islip.

A man entered Capital One Bank located at 450 Union Blvd., approached a teller at approximately 5:45 p.m. and produced a note demanding cash. The teller complied and gave the suspect cash from the drawer. The man fled on foot in a westerly direction through the parking lot.

The suspect was described as white, between 35 and 40-years-old, approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing sunglasses, a baseball hat, a gray t-shirt and blue jeans.
