The National Weather Service in New York has issued a Winter Storm Warning for snow...sleet and freezing rain...which is in effect from 7 PM this evening to 6 PM EST Monday. * Locations...the New York City and New Jersey metropolitan areas...northern Nassau and northwest Suffolk counties...and southeastern coastal Connecticut. * Hazard types...snow...sleet and freezing rain. * Accumulations...snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches...along with around one quarter of an inch of ice. * Winds...northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. * Temperatures...in the upper 20s. * Visibilities...one quarter mile or less at times. * Timing...tonight through Monday. * Impacts...hazardous travel due to reduced visibilities and significant snow...sleet and ice accumulations. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. Suspect stole 15 Xbox One controllers valued at over $900.

Setauket, NY - June 11, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a man who stole electronic accessories from a Setauket store.
 
A man entered Walmart, located at 3990 Nesconset Highway, removed 15 Xbox One controllers from the packaging and put the merchandise in his pants and fled on January 12 at approximately 7 p.m. The value of the controllers is more than $900.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
