Smithtown, NY - June 9, 2016 - Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta was invited to the annual Girl Scouts of Suffolk County Council Gold Award Ceremony where several scouts from his district were presented with their Gold Award in recognition of completing their community projects. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest honor a girl scout can achieve in scouting. “These young women are a testament to the values of leadership, character and service that are so important to have in this society and I am very proud of them,” said Legislator Rob Trotta.

Legislator Robert Trotta represents the 13th Legislative District, which includes Smithtown, Fort Salonga, Kings Park, San Remo, Nissequogue, Head of the Harbor, and St. James, as well as most of East Northport and parts of Northport and Commack.

Legislator Trotta serves on the Legislature’s Economic Development, Environment, Planning & Agriculture, Health, Public Works, Transportation & Energy, and Ways & Means Committees.
