"Special Statement" ...Some icy spots possible early Monday morning... Temperatures will drop below freezing across portions of Suffolk County under clear skies this evening. Clouds will move in from the west by midnight and precipitation will overspread the area just before sunrise. The precipitation may start out as a mix of light rain and wet snow before changing to plain rain around 7 am. Legislator Anker Announces Concert at Heritage Park in Mount Sinai

Concert will take place on July 2 and 6:30 PM.

Mount Sinai, NY - June 2014 - Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker will be sponsoring a summer concert at the North Shore Heritage Park in Mount Sinai on July 2nd.  The concert will feature musicians from the local community, and include performances by the School of Rock and the Organization of Open Mic Performing Artists (OOMPA). 
 
“This concert will serve as a showcase of our local talent,” said Legislator Anker. “The School of Rock and OOMPA provide a wonderful musical venue for both our kids and adults. I’d like to thank Rocky Point VFW Post 6249 and the Heritage Trust for making this possible.” 
 
The show will take place from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for the Island Harvest food pantry. There will be no formal seating at this outdoor concert, so remember to bring your favorite outdoor chair or blanket!
