NCPD: Floral Park Woman Arrested After Using Fake Credit Card at Uniondale Hotel

Uniondale, NY – June 7, 2017 – The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a woman at 4:15pm on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Uniondale.
 
According to Crimes Against Property Squad Detectives, the director of the Marriot Hotel located at 101 James Doolittle Boulevard Uniondale received a call regarding the use of a fraudulent credit card. The police were called to the scene and conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of defendant Odeshia Artwell, 23, of Floral Park.  
 
The defendant was located in the room she had rented in the hotel and was also in possession of two forged credit cards and a skimming/reading device.  
 
Defendant Odeshia Artwell is charged with one count of Possession of a Forgery Device and two counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument. Defendant Odeshia Artwell was arraigned on Wednesday, June 07, 2017 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
