Albany, NY – June 7, 2017 – Assemblyman Dean Murray (R,C,I-East Patchogue) is proud to continue to show his support for animals by sponsoring the Legislature’s 7th annual Animal Advocacy Day. The day brings animals of all shapes and sizes to Albany with an increased focus on passing bills to improve protections for both animals and their owners.

A true pet enthusiast, Murray publishes Long Island Pet Lover newspaper and website and is also the dedicated owner of two dogs, Pete and Lola.

“The love and trust pets give their owners is unconditional,” said Murray. “It is therefore our responsibility to protect all pets, not just our own, because they don’t have the ability to stand up against those who abuse their love and trust. I am happy to be here today to show my support for all the animals of New York. I will continue to protect and care for them as they do for us.”
